What it do!
Today is the 16th anniversary of the most important day in my life… the 1994 Northridge earthquake. You can see my reflection on the day here and here.
Yesterday was spent up at Shawn’s best friend’s husband’s family’s cabin.
Did I say Cabin? I should say unbelievable mansion. If I EVER live in a house that nice, let alone have a backup this nice, I will be a lucky man.
There were two things that really made it over the top.
It had #2 and #6 on my home gadget list. The list of large-ticket items that I’d love to have in my house/man cave one day:
1. Hot Tub
2. Juke-box
3. Pool table
4. Arcade (Maybe one pinball, one video game of Simpsons Arcade and/or Street Fighter II to start)
5. Home Theater/Surround Sound system (Bose, of course)
6. Air-hockey table
7. Ping-Pong tableI love the fact that the air hockey goals are set inside the field and away from the boards, like real hockey, which creates a lot of interesting shots and bounces.
Perhaps even cooler is CENTRAL VACUUM!!! This was 100% new to me and I LOVED this… and I want this for my house one day.
Well, for now it’s all football, hangin’, and looking forward to another ‘work’ week.
P.S. Have you seen the LT style electric glide?
If you have not, you should… it is so awesome and camp… love it!
But I do have to say, am I the only one who thinks LaDanian Tomlinson was hanging with Tim and Eric? Apparently not. In case you’ve never seen or heard of Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, here’s some samples.

Wow. I think it’s pretty cool that you were able to grow up from the Quake. We all desire to grow up, and I guess it really does happen when you have a hard lesson to learn. Yours was to protect, survive and not take things for granted. Natural disasters are devastating, but you’re an amazing example of what good can come from it too. But Geology?? Seriously?? =P
Also, I was 2 in 1994. Bet you feel old now

Hehehe… well, when I was little, I went through the Dinosaur phase like we all did, but I never grew out of it… the earthquake made me more open to Geology as a whole. Hey, we need rock lickers, somebody’s gotta do it!
@rooney - Rock Lickers! LOL! That’s good ^^ I have some friends who do Geology, and their slogan they say to each other is “Geology Rocks!” Haha.

The puns in geology are amazing… so, you know hoe the letters “ite” are added onto things to make minerals, right? GranITE, BiotITE, etc. Well, there’s a mineral named after Cumminton, England, callled… Cummingtonite. Classic!
Holy shit that house is nice…
Central vacuum. That is amazing.
WHAT IT DO?!? Central Vacuuming? What’s that? And no…i just dont see it. LT’s definitely a product of the 1980s.
Matt…btw, you know adding “o” to any english word makes it spanish right? Electric Glideo!

Well, these clips are not the best, you’ll have to trust me that the videos are cousins…
Claro que sí, yo conozco acerca de “o” a las palabras en Inglés a Español, pero ¿qué tú haces cuando tú conoces Inglés y tú necesitas Alemán o Frances?
