  • In just a few hours, one of my favorite events of the entire year starts…

Yup, the NFL draft. As most of you know, I am a football junkie, both pro and college. This time of year is very dark, cold, and lonely without it (though this year, for some reason, it’s not quite as big of a deal). This year is special because my Dolphins have the #2 pic (highest pic EVER, at least since I’ve been a fan) and Alex Smith from the mighty Utes (above) may go #1 or (gasp…) #2 to my Dolphins.

So, it saddened me so to hear Andy might have lost some pics. So, in a moving tribute to Andy, I present a gank of my all-time favorite Andy-derived pics.

    Even though it’s tourture, I still love this pic of a 4×4 Animal-style. But that’s nothing…

That’s what I like to call a dozen-by-dozen. Makes the Good-Morning burger look like a pile of puke.

And this, of course, is a pic of Andy himself, with Tom Dibblee (famous mapping geologist in SoCal). I can’t remember which one is which.

  • Whoa! Didn’t know they made burgers like that! I always like checking out the NFL draft every year too. Hopefully, my Aints can get themselves a quality linebacker on Saturday.

  • we were there too… by coincidence and saw andy at cgs!  it was yummy food too!

  • I can’t believe you made me race home from the mountains to check out this xanga!  Hehe…  I mean the photos of Andy and Andy-stuff were hot, but who cares about football?  Does that mean boys can’t go out/don’t listen to us on Mondays again?  Damn.

  • me too… can’t wait for t he draft.
that burger looks like something from scooby doo. mmm… burgers…

  • Football…this near no real big names. *yawn*. I missed out on the hockey draft because well, they canceled it, bastards. Grrr.

Tom Dibblee looks like an old homeless man with eye problems. Poor guy. .

  • Didn’t see as many cuties as we’d thought, but then again we were in the nosebleed section. The game itself was great, but I don’t see K-Rod blowing anymore games this season. As for your idea to head out to the Raider Nation with your Marino jersey, I’ll say a prayer for you! :) But congrats on your Fins for drafting Ronnie Brown. I don’t know what my Saints are up to. They traded up with Houston to draft an offensive tackle. Oh well.

  • ArcGIS. Hmm. What to say about that…. I have been getting away with using ArcView GIS 3.2a for a couple years now, while using Freehand for finished products. I am at the point where one of my major clients has bought ArcGIS 9, so I think I am going to have to get into it sooner than later. I have a book coming from McGraw-Hill which looks fairly instructional. The materials that ESRI puts out have been less than helpful when dealing with anything more complicated than basic stuff. Arc9 is very different from ArcView, certainly. I have been to a couple training seminars on Arc8. It seems to me to be a combination between the good parts of ArcView and the good parts of AutoCAD, with weirdness thrown in for good measure. I have a strong backgrounf in AutoCAD, so I am hoping this will help me. Perhaps a ‘Rooney and Roddy ArcGIS Stickdeath’ is in order?

  • Those burgers are amazing

  • inhofe is a number one grade A AssHole. He came to my high school to speak (note… this was a science and math school, 1/2 the faculty and students are non-white and/or immigrants). anyways… this was back in 96 i think and he when asked about america’s role in bosnia he said that not one american life was worth one of their lives. i was SO Shocked. even though that was like ten years ago i still remember it like it was yesterday. what an f-wording jerk.

  • So to go along with yours and Talia’s little side comments here – check this out:

Our President is also dumb.  “I do not believe, however, that the government should impose on power plants mandatory emissions reductions for carbon dioxide, which is not a “pollutant” under the Clean Air Act.”

Who puts “pullution” in “quotes”?  (I’m making quotes with my fingers in between typing).

  • Also, I think we’re going to have to serve up some In-N-Out for our midwest pals at GSA.  Do you have an In-N-Out in the SLC?  Or will we have to pretend?

  • Hi Matt… long time no talk. Thanks for all of your encouragement and support. Sadly, last night, my roommate’s uncle was talking about the possibility of Marino’s record getting broken. *tear*

  • I feel like I lost a bit of my burger innocence today….
